Carroll is a global seminary working through local churches. Wherever there is a church, there is a classroom. Wherever there is Internet access, there is a teacher.
Founded in 2004, B. H. Carroll Theological Institute is a seminary that equips men and women called to serve Christ in the diverse and global ministries of His church. We deliver accredited theological education to church leaders, where they live and serve, through a network of ministry partners, teaching churches, and online platforms. Carroll offers graduate level degrees, with seven Masters and two Doctoral programs, as well as Certificate and Diploma programs for church leaders and members who desire a deeper understanding of God and His Word. Bringing affordable, accredited, and biblically sound theological education to Great Commission servant leaders is the core of our DNA. A passionate group of core faculty with more than 300 years of collective seminary teaching experience and a network of over 85 credentialed pastors and teachers deliver our programs. Unlike most traditional seminaries, students can complete certificates, diplomas, and degrees from Carroll virtually anywhere in the world and for a fraction of the cost of most seminaries.
Carroll is an accredited seminary.
Carroll is an accredited, degree granting graduate school dedicated to equipping men and women called to serve Christ in His church. Carroll is a Member of the Association of Biblical Higher Education (https://www.abhe.org) and has earned initial accreditation with The Association of Theological Schools. (http://www.ats.edu) With a unique nexus model of teaching churches and online course delivery, Carroll is reinventing seminary education for the Twenty First Century. Carroll believes that theological education belongs where the people are and seeks to make it accessible and affordable at the grassroots level. Making seminary training accessible, affordable, and achievable encourages greater numbers of persons to respond to the call to Christian ministry and makes it possible for those in full-time ministry positions to pursue biblical education and advanced ministry training.
Carroll is a remarkable value.
On average, a degree at Carroll costs 53% less than a traditional residential seminary, with approximately 80% of tuition and fees paid by the generous gifts of supporters and friends of Carroll, people God has called to fund the mission of teaching and training the next generation of ministry leaders worldwide. For those who are unable to afford traditional seminary options or unwilling to go in debt, Carroll offers quality, accredited graduate level degree programs that provide affordable, flexible, biblically sound theological education.
“I feel like B. H. Carroll is a good investment. It’s not so expensive, but the value is there. So for me, it doesn’t mean my husband and I having to go into a big loan or big debt to get a seminary education, but we can continue to do seminary along with our ministry that we are already involved in.”
Carroll is true to the Bible.
Our Academic Catalogue states, “Carroll Institute uses a broad range of media to connect with the churches and provide theological education that is biblically based and practically oriented.” Enough said.
Carroll is flexible.
Students at Carroll have three options to choose from of attending class:
- face-to-face in a physical classroom at one of the network teaching churches,
- connecting to an online course for the allotted eight-week term, or
- participating in a live video conferencing broadcast delivered to you over the Internet.
Carroll is a credentialed faculty.
Each professor or teacher must meet the accreditation standards for those who teach our courses. Your professor will have the degree required to teach your course and will have practical experience in the discipline you study. No exceptions.
Carroll is global.
Our vision is to deliver accredited theological education to Christ-centered leaders in their context through a network of ministry partners. Carroll currently has teaching church partners in Cuba, Vietnam, China and Russia. Carroll’s professors travel to global locations to teach face-to-face classes, and they teach via the Internet in real time via video conference. This combination of electronic access and ease of global travel allows Carroll to deliver its degree programs where the global student lives and serves.
